We want to make referring clinics aware of Dr. Hansen's current timeline for scheduling. He is currently scheduling dental consultations out about a month, and for procedures/surgeries, we are scheduling out 3-4 months. We keep spots open for URGENT cases, such as fast growing oral masses or jaw fractures.

Dr. Hansen will also be out of the clinic and unavailable from 6/10/26 - 6/27/26. During this time any urgent cases should be referred to Dr Eric Davis in Syracuse or Cornell University.

If there are routine dental procedures like cleanings and simple extractions, Dr. Hansen strongly encourages them to be done by general practitioners. If you do not feel comfortable with routine dental procedures, Dr. Hansen recommends veterinarians attend The Buffalo Academy on May 21st, with Dr. Barden Greenfield. As a practitioner, it is also advisable to attend dental wet labs at the many veterinary conferences throughout the year.

We have attached an updated referral form under the Animal Dental Center of WNY referring veterinarian page, and above under the FORM tab. Please use this going forward, and dispose of any previous forms you may have.

We have been forced to implement a cancelation policy, so we can offer as many appointment available to help our patients. We require 24 hours notice of cancelation by phone, or 48 hours notice of cancelation by email. A no show/no call will cause your account to be flagged, and we will then require you to prepay for your exam.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.

Appeals

California "Shine The Light" Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?"
